Jeremy Clarkson, the popular "presenter" of the Top Gear automotive series seen in the U.S. on BBC America, has been suspended and a new episode won't be seen on Sunday, the BBC said Tuesday.
"Following a scuffle with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation. No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday," the British broadcasting giant said in a statement. "The BBC will be making no further comment at this time."
Top Gear is a motorheads' TV dream come true, with often comical segments showing off the latest exotic sports car or automotive oddities. Clarkson joins two other hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, on adventures that span the globe. The show has a worldwide following in the millions.
